Double Take

Watching the series with the Reds, trying to keep my mind in a happy place despite the looming disappointment I found myself distracted. By what, you ask? Alex Gonzalez, shortstop and number 2 for the Reds and his uncanny resemblance to the Tribe’s shortstop who also happens to wear number 2, Jhonny Peralta. Separated at birth? There is this theory that we all have a doppleganger (double) some place in the world. Intersting to ponder as I watch the Indians on the brink of collapse yet again.

This got me thinking about other Cleveland Indians look-a-likes. Here’s what I came up with:

Cliff Lee and Ethan Hawke

Travis Hafner, Vin Diesel, and Javier Bardem

Carl Pavano and Matt Garza [Thought of this one last week when they faced each other. The FOX analysts also pointed this out]

Matt Herges and Eric Wedge. Creepy! Who wants to look like their boss? But if things get rocky maybe Wedge can take the mound….

Ryan Garko and Kelly Shoppach could have lived in BedRock with Fred Flintstone and Barney Rubble

And this one is not related to the Cleveland Indians, but I think it every time the WhiteSox come to town….. Ozzie Guillen and Carlos from Desperate Housewives.
